Our first mixed tenure hugg units in Southampton were fully let in just six weeks of release. Six months later, we asked residents more about their experience of living in a hugg. And we couldn’t be happier with the results.

Of the Southampton hugg residents who completed the hugg survey:

Resident Lauren Harrison-Short was one of the first residents to move into a hugg. She wanted to rent somewhere convenient and within her budget, so when she came across hugg she knew straight away it was ideal for her. The hugg Southampton units are let in line with local housing allowance and are conveniently located for the city-centre.

 “My hugg home is brilliant for what I need. The interior is high quality, the design is great and it all feels very well put together. The people I’ve met here are friendly and it feels like a real community. The layout of the containers forms a kind of communal courtyard so I’ve got to know my neighbours and we are even planning a BBQ in this shared area.”
